MSEC has a self-managed application procedure. That is, applicants are
fully responsible for completing and submitting their application on time and in
accordance with the following admissions guidelines. (Please refer to
the MSEC web page, http://www.ecom.cmu.edu,
for application deadline dates.) This procedure lessens the chance of
late or misplaced supporting documents and gives applicants more control over the entire
process. 1.
Application may be made in writing or electronically. Electronic
applications are strongly preferred.
APPLICANTS
APPLYING ELECTRONICALLY
- (A) Applicants applying
electronically must complete and mail in a signed privacy
statement

2. One official transcript is required for each college or university attended, at both
the undergraduate and graduate levels, whether or not the applicant earned a degree.
Collect the transcripts in envelopes and have them sealed and
signed across the seal by the registrar's office, and forward them to
the MSEC Admissions Office. If your college or university will not
give official copies of transcripts directly to students, then request
that they send them (in sealed envelopes) directly to the MSEC
office.

one evaluation from an academic source, and those who have completed more than one year of

applicants on an academic or professional basis are unacceptable. All evaluations must
be submitted in sealed envelopes, signed by the recommender across the
seal, and forwarded directly from the recommender to the MSEC
admission offices. Recommenders are asked to include their
business cards.
